New SRB list expected in April

The Air Force could not provide figures on how much money has been paid per AFSC. In the first quarter of fiscal 2012, the Air Force spent $31 million on re-enlistment bonuses, or about 25 percent of the money it has budgeted this year for new bonuses, service spokeswoman Maj. “We don’t budget or allot SRB money by AFSC,” Danner-Jones said. The Air Force expects to update its list of which career fields rate a re-enlistment bonus in early April, said service spokesman Capt. All of the 78 Air Force Specialty Codes on the list released in October still rate a re-enlistment bonus, Stines said in an email. The Air Force’s 2012 budget allocates $123 million for new bonuses, Danner-Jones said in an email. “Once the SRB list is announced, all those who are eligible to receive the SRB do so until the SRB list is reviewed and adjusted. The selective re-enlistment bonuses, or SRBs, range up to $90,000 based on several factors.

Is the Air Force AFSC "Battle Management Systems" being phased out with the responsibility given to officers?

I read among Y! One of the questions, but I could not find online confirmation. Is that a fact is not widely disclosed? Or is this misinformation?

Since I'm in this career field, no it is not removed.

Air force AFSC changes while in the DEP?

I have been selected for security forces but i want to change AFSC's. I scored an 87 on my asvab and SF was not even on my top 5 choices. Can i still change while in the DEP or will i be dropped out of the dep.

1. Your ASVAB overall score does not make sense, its only used to see if you can call or not.

Only your scores MAGE not count when it comes to being assigned to an AFSC.

2.

What are my chances of getting stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base with Security Forces AFSC?

I always hear that you will go exactly where the Air Force needs you but since I'm going into a field that Needs a lot more personnel than any other field is there any way I might have some type of advantage?. Has an anyone else been in this situation?

Even though Security Forces is a large career field, there are a proportionately large number of billets. So, statistically speaking, you have no better chance of getting to Maxwell AFB than any other AFSC.

The Serrated Soul: AFSC 3D1X1

I won't lie, I'm bummed out that cryptological linguist wasn't the first job they booked me for, but I have to keep in mind that it's not so much a certain job that I'm seeking in the Air Force as much as it is the Air Force itself. That's my job in the Air Force- or at least it will be after I look over and sign my enlistment contract today. It's basically a computer/server maintenance and networking job, so I'll be getting some IT experience that will translate into a good civilian job if need be. The ship date for this position is 26 April- only a hop and a skip away. Linguist would have been nice for the bonus, and because language is something I think I am gifted with and it would have been a fun challenge....
