Manatee veterans face bleak job options

Jindra’s had to work hard for every penny he’s earned, a trait he picked up from a four-year stint in the U. S. Marine Corps. But now, Jindra can’t even find a temporary job to get by. The veteran was laid off from his tech job of eight years with a Sarasota firm in October. That specialized military training ultimately opened the door to a 30-year career in telecommunications. Jindra remains hopeful something will soon come along, but he admits the woeful job market is worse than he ever anticipated. “Sometimes you hear a response back, sometimes you don’t. “The market is just horrible out there,” Jindra said. MANATEE -- James Jindra isn’t used to being on the unemployment rolls. Yet, for the first time in decades, that’s exactly where the 49-year-old Bradenton man has found himself.

I am joining the marine corps which is a better mos to start out with infantry or reconnaissance?

I definitely want a combat role, but I do not want to start my career Marine Corps is deep. Basically, one is the smartest decision.

reverse! Outside the mission and different ways of life inherent in one career fields, the infantry is much larger than the specialty MP.
