Obstacle course helps build skills, confidence for Embry-Riddle ROTC students

The obstacle and confidence course, the first of its kind for Embry-Riddle, combines aspects of the U. S. Marine Corps obstacle course and U. S. Army's confidence course. This includes a 33-feet high A-frame "called the "Tough One" and involves climbing 16-foot high ropes, walking across four-by-fours and climbing a ladder and then descending down a cargo net. About 700 students in the ROTC program at Embry-Riddle, including Marines, Army, Navy and Air Force, may be able to use the course, which could be opened in the future to other ROTC groups in the area or agencies such as law enforcement and fire... DAYTONA BEACH -- Maneuvering through the sand to jump and roll over logs, then climbing high ropes and structures is part of a new obstacle course for ROTC students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The other obstacles include low vaults, horizontal bars, rope climbs and a 6-foot wall. , is 100 yards long and consists of 14 obstacles and two additional confidence builders.

Can I go to Marine Corps OCS if I am in the National Guard?

I'm in the National Guard Ga. I am a Senior ROTC program commissions as shipping agents and army officers, is it possible for me to go to OCS instead of commanding the army? If I go to the SCO and the Commission deny the Marine Corps enlisted my contract?

It depends on what you're referring to by "Senior ROTC.

Also Thursday I was in class from 9am to 8pm and had a 4 hour exhausting lab and then Friday I was in class from 8am to 6pm and had another 4 hour exhausting lab. I did 20 Pull Ups, 99 Crunches (I can hit all 100 easily, but not sure what happened) and I ran a 23:39 3 Mile (cut off for OCS candidates is 23:59). I am running 4-6 miles and doing speed works outs but I dont know what is going wrong. Now at 22 years old I cant even break 22 mins. I am an OCS Applicant. Also because of heavy snowfall I was not able to run for 4 days prior to the PFT. Now I am not sure this happened because I did run with a sickness, have a bad cold. I dont know how to get my running faster....
