67th Annual "Iwo Jima Day" is Friday, Feb. 17

The parade begins at the statue of Samuel Adams in Faneuil Hall at 11 a. m. and will follow State Street to Tremont Street to Park Street and finally to Beacon Street Outside the State House at noon, the parade will finish with a prayer, the... In information provided by the Marine Corps League, Iwo Jima was one of the bloodiest battles of World War II. It was the only battle of war in the Pacific where American casualties outnumbered the Japanese. - The State of Massachusetts, including members of the local Marine Corps League, will observe Iwo Jima Day on Friday, Feb. Inside the State House, the ceremony will begin at 12:30 p. m. in the Memorial  Hall (Rotunda), at 1:30 p. m. The Collation will be held in the Hall of Flags. 17 with ceremonies both inside and outside the State House and with a parade in Boston. The 67th anniversary of the battle for Iwo Jima is normally held on Feb.

They are the cream of the cream. Two of them came from my brother's memorial service on their own time. They never met my brother. We played taps. One was the flag of the Marine Corps and later read the prayer of the Marine Corps.

It's so awesome. I think all the military branches are good for bonding with eachother ... Marines in particular. It's really touching, seriously. I'm sorry for your loss.

Not a prayer but Psalm 91 is known as the Soldier's Psalm. Read it, you can also look it up online. There was a story about an Army brigade who kept this psalm on a piece of paper in their helmets, I believe, and when they were caught in a deadly ambush

Either cut out letters with your Cricut (I used 2 types of paper for my letters using the regular font and the solid shadow font to create my lettering. You can make a coordinating bookmark to go with the prayer Using your favorite adhesive (I used spray adhesive), attach the scrapbook paper to the front and back of the composition notebook. You’ll need 2 matching scrapbook pieces of paper for the front and the back of the composition notebook. ) Cut out paper with crafting scissors (or regular scissors).   To get the correct size, you’ll just trace the shape of the composition notebook onto the scrapbook paper....
