“I stepped into another dimension and observed time and space in such a way that there was a time distortion,” explained Forrest, who holds a Ph. D. in engineering. It was in the middle of a night during April 1985 and Forrest — who grew up here and graduated from Mount Airy High in 1973 — was serving with the U. S. Marines in Corpus Christi, Texas. People tend to remember any supernatural experiences that happen in their lives, and former Mount Airy resident Dr. Scott R. Forrest had one that is truly unforgettable. The Marines were first in the First World War. They were first in the Second World War, was the first offensive on Guadalcanal 7 August 1942.
They were not the first courses in Korea.
