U.S. Marines, or the IDF (Isreal Defense Forces)
Marines use MCMAP (Marine Corps. martial arts program) and the Israeli army uses krav maga, which is suppossed to be the best, but I do not know.
The commander of the unit I was attached to Iraq was the man who was chosen to create the program MCMAP and yes, it's that bad a $ $.

Is it mainly gun defense instead of combatives? Even with gun defense what fighting style do they teach you?
They teach you everything. The amount of concentration on that fighting style depends on where you are stationed and what rank you are and whether you are an officer or recruit.

I was looking at the development of many martial arts and found that many of them change for street-fighting or one-on-one application. Tae Kwon Do/Aikido- both halves of one being-that being the joke of the martial arts world. Basically,what i’m trying to ask is why it’s only Krav Maga/Marine Martial What was wrong with the whole pointfighting system/why did many schools not do kumite in the old days. Why aren’t many of the old styles shown nowadays. For example: Karate-it didn’t ‘work’ so many schools changed to Kickboxing. Why are TKD and Aikido looked down upon nowadays....
