Yes, you have to apply for OCS
IE: you can not direct the commission and do something else than being a nurse.
A nursing degree will be treated just like any other degree.

when I'm older, I want to be a nurse for the Marines. I wonder if there are some classes i should take in college so I can be fully qualified.

Well me and him cant stand not seeing each other for over 3 months at a time let alone 6 so I was wondering what in high school I could do...If I need to be in R.O.T.C and how many years of college you know just basic questions about it.
Got news for you kid. The Marines don't have a Medical branch, they use the Navy.
As much as I would love it, I don’t think I can take up residence on the beaches of North Carolina blogging for The Wall Street Journal about my jobless life as a registered nurse. Where are all the job fairs for nursing graduates, and whom should I look to for inspiration. Friends of mine from different academic disciplines have either had multiple job interviews, signed up to work for Teach for America, or have actually been offered positions for real life suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying jobs. Because nursing is such a unique and different field compared with the world of economics, journalism, history and business, I am finding it increasingly hard to look to others for guidance and encouragement. Chatter has also been flying around among my nursing peers about how some hospitals aren’t even hiring new graduates....
