Secretive Navy SEALs take starring role in new film

WASHINGTON — The secretive Navy SEALs are coming out of the shadows for a new Hollywood film, with elite commandos cast in starring roles in a radical departure for America's special forces. Although troops have appeared in movies before, such as "Black Hawk Down," this film ventures into uncharted territory, possibly jeopardizing the anonymity that the special forces have sought to safeguard. Filming began in 2007, before the Navy's Sea, Air and Land Teams were catapulted to fame for their daring raid last May that killed Al-Qaeda mastermind Osama bin Laden. US defense officials did not find out about the movie until after the fact, causing consternation at the Pentagon, which has an office that vets scripts and negotiates cooperation deals with Hollywood producers.

Yes. They have been deployed there as well as in Iraq. Special Forces Units are deployed around the world whether they be US Navy SEALS, US Army Green Berets, US Marines Force Recon, or whatever. They deploy everywhere that the United States needs them.

Clinton unloaded 60 cruise missiles at training camps of the Taliban. The attack was in response to bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Rumor has killed over 300 terrorists, their trainers, and Osama.

This could be true considering bin charge was not involved in 9 / 11 its very possible the pictures of "Ben Laden" since the time was not the real Bin Laden.

I may become a navy seal within the next 2 years so I was just wondering because I would like to go fight instead of sit around base.

Deployment- 100% chance, whether to Afghanistan or not. Chances you will wash out of BUD/s before becoming a SEAL- 99.8%. So I really wouldn't worry about it if I were you. If you want to join the Navy and see combat, become a medic (corpsman) who deploys
