At 18 he finished boot camp and headed to the Pacific theater of World War II. He was literally thrown into the fire with his first battle being for Iwo Jima. 67-years ago this weekend six U. S. Marines raised the American flag on the island of Iwo Jima and the picture of that accomplishment remains as one of the most indelible symbols of American victory. "I was about 30 or 40 feet behind the camera man, Joe, who took the picture and if I'd known it would be so famous I'd have gotten in the front there and said hey," Schutt said with a chuckle. Marines raised a then 48-starred American flag on Mount Suribachi over the island of Iwo Jima. Among the first wave of Marines to land on Iwo Jima was now-retired Sergeant Clarence Schutt who calls Chattanooga his home. Schutt said the memory of that infamous day remains clear - the sight, sound and smell.Source: WTVC

Im leaving for USMC boot camp soon, but from what I read its going to be physically and emotionally. Currently my status emtional is very bad. I came out of a relationship with a girl I really liked, but she said she just lost the feeling.
Get over it you will meet someone soon. continue and be a man and recover. Go and happen.
