The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. During the 12 weeks of training, the Marine studied the Marine Corps mission, history, tradition, core values and military courtesies. Air Force Airman Luke W. Whitney graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Thomas Andrew McGuckin graduated from basic combat training Sept. Whitney finishes training in Texas. took physical fitness training. McGuckin completes work at Parris Island. , for 12 months of training in airplane-frame mechanics. and received instruction and practice in drill tactics, rifle marksmanship, combat skills and military weapons. I want to join the U.S. Marine Corps when I am 19,but my Dad(who was also in the Marines) doesn't want me to. He says that he would rather me go to college and get a good job after I graduate. I know basic Drill and Ceremony, the U.S.
