You can train for the Force Recon in the same way that the O train wantabes buds. There are many books and videos that are training plans for the joint preparation. Get one of them and follow him.

I can't speak for either, but I can tell you somewhat about Ranger. I graduated from Sapper Leader Course back in 2001 which is similar to Ranger School.
Rangers are trained to be more effective working in small groups than normal Infantry.
