Ok so I went to this conference talks about the Mormon culture since I am in the west and how as a Christian can share the gospel to someone who is Mormon. someone made a point not sure if it's true or not Mormon can not wear a cross.
To answer the question, yes, Mormons can wear crosses ... most have not.
Although crucifixion is extraordinary sacrifice, the atonement as a whole is what saved us all.

We're both 17 and come Valentine's Day, we've been out for 2 ½ months. I have no idea what to do! I feel like for the guys, it's easy for a man just bought jewelry girl or something ... but much more difficult in the other direction.
